Day 1 of my ForeverGreen Journey-February 2,2014

Introduction


I am Megan Curran, 41, Mother of Kalin, Kai and Kiana...and welcome to my first blog EVER!!!

I am tracking my progress for the ForeverGreen International Weight loss Challenge by Dr. Becky Maes.  

For the next several months I will be posting my progress on this blog!!  I'm so excited to see my life change and my energy levels improve.  

I was invited by Dr. Becky Maes to participating in the Weight loss/Wellness Challenge. I was so excited when asked and felt like it was an answer to a prayer, because I want my life to improve in all ways!  My youngest child Kiana is 15 months old.  I want more energy to run around and play with her.  My 13 year old son Kai says I never play with him anymore.  I want to be able to have a better quality of life long-term.  I will track my weight and inches lost on a weekly basis.  I will also take a picture each week.  I will record my daily intake, this will help me be accountable to myself daily. 

I have struggled with a habit of drinking LOTS of Diet Coke (80-125 oz daily).  I stopped this habit for 9 months and started drinking it again December 2013 due to lots of added stress.  It has always seemed to be "my friend" during stressful times.  

I have been a fairly healthy weight most of my life..up until the last 10 years ago.  I've dealt with a lot of stress in the last 10 years with jobs, relationship/marriage issues, dealing with anxiety/depression.  I weighed a healthy 172 lbs in 2004, which is very small for my height and bone structure.  My goal is to eat a raw/whole foods diet and stay away from fast food.  I will begin walking and other forms of exercise once my broken foot heals (another 2 weeks).

BEGINNING STATS: FEBRUARY 2, 2014

Height:  6' 0"
Weight: 287

Day 1

Morning:  2 cups of warm water with 1/2 lemon.

Breakfast:  My protein shake consists of: 24 karat chocolate protein powder (2 scoops) with 6 oz   cold water and 6 oz Vanilla Soy Milk.1 scoop of Heart Pulse, 10 drops of phyto, 1 oz of frequensea

Snack:  2 hard boiled eggs with "Real" Salt.

Lunch:  (same as breakfast)

Snack:  1/2 Versativa Pulse Business Bar-hemp/blueberry 

Dinner:  6 oz of sauteed Wild Dover with 2 cups of Organic cooked broccoli

Snack:  1/2 protein shake with 1 scoop of 24k chocolate protein powder with 3 oz water and 3 oz Vanilla Soy Milk


Overview of Day and Observations:

I have heard of positive benefits of drinking warm water with lemon.  I sipped on at least 5 cups of this mixture today.  I'm turning my urgings for Diet coke to Lemon Water instead.  I have a minor head ache due to the lack of caffeine, however drinking lots of water has helped.  I am drinking 190oz of water daily.
