Health Coach Visit 3/19/14

I met with Leanna Hunt today.  I am very happy with my results and Leanna challenged me to walk 3 times a week and use my Total Gym twice a week going forward.  Last week, I walked 2 times and my foot that I fractured 9 weeks ago is feeling much better.

Today's Weight 265.8 (down 5 from last week, down 22 from 2/3/2014).

Health Coach Visit 3/12/14

I am late adding this post! Busy Week!

Here are my stats from last week.  My weight was up a few pounds as I was on my period.  I am happy that I still lost inches however!

Weight-270.6 (up 2lbs from 3/5/14) due to bloating-period and coming back from traveling)

So, even though I was on my period and came back from traveling, I still lost 1.75 inches!  I'm happy about that!

My Health Coach Visit 2/26/2014

Wow- what a week!

This week I dealt with some difficult stress.  I won't go into details, but I did some big time crying.  I'm better now. I am most amazed that I was able to stay on the "Straight and narrow" with my weight loss program.  Anytime I've reached high stress levels in the past is when I would stop whatever diet I was on.

I met with Leanna today and I weighed in and measured. Here are my results this week! I'm happy!

Weight:  271.2 (lost 16 lbs since 2/3!!!)

Measurements:

Neck:  13.75" (no change from last week, .25" overall
Shoulder:  49.5 (-.5 from last week, 2.5" since 2/5/14)
Arm 14.25 (no change from last week, .75 since 2/5/14)
Chest-44" (no change from last week, .5" since 2/5/14)
Thorax- 38"( 1.5" from last week, 1" since 2/5/14)
Belly Button-41.5" (not sure why its increased)
Waist-43.25" (1.75" from last week, 3.75" since 2/5/14)
Hip-51.75" (no change from last week, 1.25 since 2/5/14)
Calf-16.5" ( no change from 2/5/14)

I lost a total of 5lbs from last week and 3.75"!  What a great week!

Health Coach Visit 2/19/2014

It's been a great week!  Although, I have to admit, I did have a piece of dark chocolate on Valentines Day, however I didn't go crazy and I even went to my Mom's 70th birthday party and didn't feel tempted to have chocolate cake.  I really believe the E2L (eat to live) supplement has really curved my appetite and any cravings for sweets.  I also have a lot of energy too.  My foot fracture has healed well, so I am going to start exercising.  I think this will really help the pounds drop and my endorphin levels to improve as well.

I weighed in and measured with my Health Coach Leanna Hut from Elevate.  Here are this weeks results:

Weight:  276.6 (-11 from 2/2/2014)

Shoulder:  50"  (-2" from 2/5/14)
Chest- 44.5 (no change 2/5/14)
Thorax-39.5 (- .5" from 2/12/14)

Hip-51.75" ( -1.25" from 2/5/14)
Thigh-26.75" (-1.25" from 2/5/14)
Calf-16.5" (no change)

So, I lost 2.5lbs from last week and 5.25 inches!  YAY!!!

I am going to focus this week on exercising 3 days a week, minimum and will not weigh at work or home until next Health Coach visit!

Health Coach Visit 2/12/2014

It's been a great week, I feel great! Normally I have PMDD symptoms 5-7 days prior to my period, however my period came last night and I had no irritability,food cravings at all!  I have more energy and I feel positive about my weight loss journey! I have stuck to my 2 shakes a day and have healthy snacks and a healthy lunch or dinner (depending on which one I substitute with a shake).  I started adding 3 large handfuls of spinach to each meal shake, so I'm getting lots of greens each day!

I met with Leanna Hunt, my coach at Elevate Fitness.  Here are my measurements.  My weight remained the same, however I did loose inches and decreased my body weight,etc...(see below).  Leanna mentioned sometimes the lack of weight loss is due to your body wanting to see if I will be consistent in this new plan. Leanna challenged me to not check my weight except with her once a week.  So, that's what I'm going to do, stay away from any other scale!

Day 1 of my ForeverGreen Journey-February 2,2014

Introduction


I am Megan Curran, 41, Mother of Kalin, Kai and Kiana...and welcome to my first blog EVER!!!

I am tracking my progress for the ForeverGreen International Weight loss Challenge by Dr. Becky Maes.  

For the next several months I will be posting my progress on this blog!!  I'm so excited to see my life change and my energy levels improve.  

I was invited by Dr. Becky Maes to participating in the Weight loss/Wellness Challenge. I was so excited when asked and felt like it was an answer to a prayer, because I want my life to improve in all ways!  My youngest child Kiana is 15 months old.  I want more energy to run around and play with her.  My 13 year old son Kai says I never play with him anymore.  I want to be able to have a better quality of life long-term.  I will track my weight and inches lost on a weekly basis.  I will also take a picture each week.  I will record my daily intake, this will help me be accountable to myself daily. 

I have struggled with a habit of drinking LOTS of Diet Coke (80-125 oz daily).  I stopped this habit for 9 months and started drinking it again December 2013 due to lots of added stress.  It has always seemed to be "my friend" during stressful times.  

I have been a fairly healthy weight most of my life..up until the last 10 years ago.  I've dealt with a lot of stress in the last 10 years with jobs, relationship/marriage issues, dealing with anxiety/depression.  I weighed a healthy 172 lbs in 2004, which is very small for my height and bone structure.  My goal is to eat a raw/whole foods diet and stay away from fast food.  I will begin walking and other forms of exercise once my broken foot heals (another 2 weeks).

BEGINNING STATS: FEBRUARY 2, 2014

Day 1

Morning:  2 cups of warm water with 1/2 lemon.

Breakfast:  My protein shake consists of: 24 karat chocolate protein powder (2 scoops) with 6 oz   cold water and 6 oz Vanilla Soy Milk.1 scoop of Heart Pulse, 10 drops of phyto, 1 oz of frequensea

Snack:  2 hard boiled eggs with "Real" Salt.

Lunch:  (same as breakfast)

Snack:  1/2 Versativa Pulse Business Bar-hemp/blueberry 

Dinner:  6 oz of sauteed Wild Dover with 2 cups of Organic cooked broccoli

Snack:  1/2 protein shake with 1 scoop of 24k chocolate protein powder with 3 oz water and 3 oz Vanilla Soy Milk


Overview of Day and Observations:

I have heard of positive benefits of drinking warm water with lemon.  I sipped on at least 5 cups of this mixture today.  I'm turning my urgings for Diet coke to Lemon Water instead.  I have a minor head ache due to the lack of caffeine, however drinking lots of water has helped.  I am drinking 190oz of water daily.

Today I met with my Health Coach, Leanna Hunt (at Elevate Fitness).  She weighed me...I'm 279 lbs (with clothes of course- no shoes)!!! That means I've lost 9 lbs since starting this Sunday!  I know my weight-loss is mostly from detoxing my body, however I am so excited!  It's a great way to start this week!  Leanna did all my measurements as well.

I'm already looking forward to next Wednesday, our normal coaching time to see my weight drop as well as my inches drop.  Leanna is amazing and will really help me in my journey to stay on track and be a support as a coach and friend that I need!  I ordered a "Total Gym" and will begin using this 20-30 minutes daily one it arrived!  I think many of the exercises will be ok with my broken foot healing.

I have been starting each morning with 1/2 lemon and 2 cups of warm water.  I have about 3 refills and its really helping me get over my Diet Coke habit. I have been taking 2 Power Code E2L's each morning before having my shake and prior to my lunch shake.  I feel an increase amount of energy, which I have really needed!  Last night I ate 1 chicken breast baked with Salsa as well as 1/2 cup green beans.  I ended the night with 1/2 shake.  I feel great!
